No medical advice
BabyLog does not diagnose, treat, monitor, or prevent medical conditions. Nothing inside the app should be treated as medical advice, nursing advice, or a substitute for a qualified health professional.
Any wording inside the product that helps summarise, label, compare, or organise your logs is informational only.
Not a medical device or emergency service
BabyLog is not a medical device and is not designed for emergency use. Do not rely on BabyLog during a medical emergency or urgent safety event.
If your baby is unwell, injured, having trouble breathing, showing worrying symptoms, or you otherwise think something is urgent, seek professional care or emergency assistance straight away.
User-entered data may be incomplete or inaccurate
BabyLog depends on the information entered by caregivers. Records may be delayed, duplicated, incomplete, entered incorrectly, or still waiting to sync across devices.
Because BabyLog is local-first, two caregivers may temporarily see different information until syncing finishes or a device reconnects.
Growth charts, reports, and summaries have limits
Growth percentiles, charts, and trends are reference tools only. They are based on available inputs and standard chart data and should never replace clinical assessment.
Daily summaries, weekly reports, and AI-ready prompt text are convenience tools built from the records available in BabyLog at the time. They can miss context, nuance, or recent unsynchronised changes.
- WHO growth references are population benchmarks, not individual diagnosis.
- A pattern, percentile, or summary produced by the app does not tell you why something is happening.
- You remain responsible for deciding what to share with a paediatrician, midwife, GP, or other clinician.
Medication, feeding, and care decisions remain your responsibility
Always use your own judgement and follow professional advice when making care decisions, especially around feeding, medication, temperature, weight, dehydration, sleep safety, or developmental concerns.
If app data conflicts with your real-world observation, trusted clinical advice, or another caregiver's direct knowledge, stop and verify before acting.
External tools and links
If you export data, email it, print it, or paste it into ChatGPT or another external service, BabyLog cannot control how that third party stores, analyses, or uses the information after it leaves BabyLog.
Any external websites, links, or third-party services referenced by BabyLog are provided for convenience only.
Use BabyLog as a support tool
BabyLog works best as a support tool for remembering events, coordinating with trusted caregivers, and preparing for conversations with professionals. It should not replace attentive caregiving, direct observation, or qualified medical support.
