Customising Overview
BabyLog ships with twelve log types but no household uses all of them. Hide what you don't need, reorder the rest, and switch hand preference for one-handed logging.
Reorder Home tiles

Open Settings → Overview (or tap the Customise button at the bottom of the Home screen).
- Drag the handle on the left of any row to move it up or down. The Home order updates as you let go.
- The toggle on the right of each row controls visibility. Hidden types disappear from the Home screen and from the + add-log sheet, but their data stays — show them again any time without losing history.
The order is per-baby. If you track twins, each baby can have its own layout.
Sensible defaults
A first-time setup orders tiles in the way a newborn day typically goes: feed, sleep, nappy, pumping, solids, bath, then notes — with growth, play, temperature, medication, and symptoms below.
As your baby grows, drag the tiles that matter most to the top. By six months solids usually wants to be near feed; by nine months pumping may want to move down.
Hand preference for bottle feeds

In Settings → Preferences → Hand preference, pick left or right. The bottle feed modal moves its keypad and the primary save button to that thumb so you can log with one hand while the other holds the baby.
Switch at any time — for example, if you're feeding from your left arm and want to log with your right thumb. The preference is per-device, so your partner's choice doesn't override yours.
Other log types use a standard centred layout. We only one-hand the bottle modal because it's the one parents log most while physically holding the baby.
Other settings that affect Home
A few related toggles live next door:
- Daily summary on day headers (Settings → Overview) — show or hide the per-day total row on the Timeline.
- Timeline layout — Cards or List. See Viewing Your Data.
- Default time format — 12 hour or 24 hour. Applies to every time pill in the app.
- Reminder defaults (Pro) — global feed and nappy reminder intervals.
